Generally, cells are isolated from solid tissues using enzymatic digestion systems followed by density gradient, magnetic field, differential substrate adhesion and FACS separation procedures. Next, obtained cells are phenotypically characterized by specific immunolabeling, genotyping and electron microscopical procedures.
